Funeral services for Dorothy Gene Killian, of Honey Grove, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Dorothy passed away Feb. 7, 2025, at the age of 65.

Dorothy Gene Killian was born on May 30, 1959 in Clinton, Okla., the daughter of Hubert Carter and Irene (Harris) Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Curtis Carter, Johnny Lee Carter, Billy Joe Carter and sister, Imogene Carter.

Dorothy grew up in the Garvin, Okla., area and spent most of her life in McCurtain County. She married her loving husband, Charles Killian, on Sept. 30, 1996, at his home in Honey Grove, Texas, and there they started their life together.

Dorothy enjoyed hunting a good bargain, loving to go to flea markets and garage sales. She loved watching her soap operas and never missed an episode of Young and the Restless. Dorothy also enjoyed working in her flower beds. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Charles Killian of the home; brothers: Kenneth Carter of Valliant and Louis Wayne Carter of Decatur, Texas; sister, Margarette Graham of Garvin; step children: Mandy, Brandy, Toby and Delisa Belew; eight step-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Interment followed the service at Forest Hill Cemetery with Bro. Scott Stuart officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
