Beverly Gail Wisener, known affectionately to all as Beverly Gail, passed away at her home in Grant on May 8, 2025, at the age of 74. Born under the wide, hopeful skies of Wink, Texas, on Nov. 19, 1950, Beverly Gail made her debut into the world as the daughter of Leon and Mildred (Magby) Ridge.

She and her husband, Keith Wayne Wisener, married on Oct. 9, 1970, in Bonham, Texas, and they celebrated an epic 55 years together. That’s right, folks –– 55 years of love, laughter, and Beverly Gail “gently suggesting” how Keith should do things. She is survived by her children: Tammy Bruce of Grant, Okla., Gary Wisener of Arizona, and Tony Wisener and wife, Jenni of Messer, Okla. Beverly Gail was also a pillar of strength to her siblings: Jimmy and wife, Cozette Ridge of Tonto Basin, Ariz., Billy Ray Ridge of Bastrop, La., Carolyn Raynor of Little Rock, Ark., and Jan Davis of Sachse, Texas. Her legacy further includes a fan club of numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and countless fish that got away.

Beverly Gail was the unsung hero, a caregiver who set out to make the world a better place for those in her care. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Beverly Gail’s interests were as rich and diverse as a potluck dinner. She loved fishing, but then there were her grandchildren, who she doted on with zeal, and let’s not forget her talent for “bossing Keith.” Describing Beverly Gail is like trying to summarize a rainbow –– words just don’t do it justice. But if we had to try, “gentle,” “kind,” and “thoughtful” come to mind. She was the kind of person who’d lend you an ear, a hand, or a slice of pie, no matter the time of day. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mickey Wisener. The family held a private graveside inurnment on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 and shared remembrances.

Arrangements were under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home.
