Graveside services for Donald E. Leslie were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Okla., with Pastor Kyle Cummings officiating. Donald went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, in Hugo, at the age of 90.

Virginia Mae (Hunter) Adcock passed away at 89 years of age in her home in Apple, on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021. She was born on Nov. 8, 1931 in Okemah, Okla., to John and Eliza Jane (Williamson) Hunter.

Ronald Ray Smith, 76, passed away peacefully on Feb. 15, 2021 at his home in Fort Towson, Okla. A celebration of Ronnie’s life was held at 11 a.m. Feb. 24, 2021 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, Okla.

THE PROJECT LIT Book Club, made up of students and staff, recently finished their January book, “Ghost Boys.” The Project LIT Book Club is led by Mrs. Cody, the seventh grade ELA teacher. Book club members are already reading and discussing the February book and deciding on March’s book.
