Blue, channel, and flathead catfish excellent on chicken liver, cut bait, live bait, punch bait, shad, stinkbait, and sunfish below the dam, brush structure, creek channels, main lake, river channel, shorelines, and standing timber.

Buffaloes work on new offense

The Buffaloes’ spring practice came to an end on Tuesday after nine days of hard work that gave onlookers a glimpse into what’s to come in the fall. The main takeaway from the spring is that there are a number of changes coming for Hugo in the 2023 season, and they’ll be looking for leaders to step up and help guide the rest of the team through unchartered territory.

EDMOND — From the Oklahoma prairie to the hills of Southeast Oklahoma, the Rattan Rams are known to be a perrennial Class A baseball powerhouse. This year’s team of baseball die-hards, coached since they were yound lads by Michael Clay, had more on their mind than to just show up and compete in the State baseball playoffs.

Largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass good on buzz baits, plastic baits, and spinnerbaits around channels, flats, points, shallows, shorelines, and weed beds. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, and minnows around brush structure, coves, flats, points, rocks, shallows, shorelines, and weed beds. Rattan Rams in State Baseball Playoffs Thursday at Edmond

RATTAN — If you’re going to play the Rattan Rams in baseball, it’s a well-known fact around most of Oklahoma that “you’d better pack a lunch.” The Rams recently capped the Regional Championship with an eight-game winning streak that landed them in the final eight of the Oklahoma ClassA Playoffs. They will open the Class A Tournament Thursday at 11 a.m.
